I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our parish members who have either been received into the church this Easter or are considering taking that important step. Special recognition goes to Zachary and Diego from our Grade 8 confirmation program. Zachary was baptized last Saturday, and both he and Diego received communion for the first time—what a joyous occasion!

Our RCIA candidates will join Bishop Bergie at the Cathedral for a special inscription ceremony and blessing on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Please keep them in your prayers as they journey toward full inclusion in our Catholic family: Justin Wiens, Vichit Altmann, Ashley Chaar, Shannon Sutherland, Rebecca Bothelo, Fabian Webb, Justin Paquette and John Paul DeVerteuil. A sincere thank you to Linda Funk-Lequerre and Michael Olier for their invaluable support during our RCIA sessions. The candidates will be formally welcomed into the church during the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, April 19th at 8:30 PM—and everyone is warmly invited to attend!

A few months ago, I printed “Four Prayers That Could Change Your Life.” As we begin Lent and embark on our discipleship path in small groups, I wanted to revisit these transformative prayers:

Dear Jesus: Make me better. Change my attitude, my approach, my mind, and my reactions.

Dear Jesus: If I’m chasing the wrong things, redirect me.

Dear Jesus: Please bring me closer to what is meant for me.

Dear Jesus: Please make my days useful, my nights restful, my efforts fruitful, and my home peaceful.

Amen.

Fr. Paul
